How we rank

For each job, we choose the tool we would tell a friend to use, plus 2–4 alternatives for different needs.

Our rules

• One top pick per job, with a plain reason for the choice.
• Live checks. Every tool URL is fetched before publishing, dead tools are removed, and each page shows a last-verified date.
• No made-up numbers. We don't publish invented ratings, stats or quotes.
• Sponsorships are always labeled and never affect rankings. Paid placements appear in clearly marked sponsor slots, separate from the picks.
• Affiliate links may earn us a commission. They're disclosed and never decide a pick.
